Fade To Black is a documentary book composed of photographs taken during my 11 years living and traveling around China.

During this time I’ve witnessed an increasing gap between “the old” and “the new” China. A gap that on one side has a fast-paced developing country that challenges western economies, and in the other a country that seems left behind of any progress and slowly fades away.

In connection with the physicality of the reality and subjects, the series was shot on black and white film.
